Support

AnswerRails support is handled directly by the people who build it. There is no ticket queue between you and them.

Looking for the live assistant?

It’s on every page of this site — the Chat with us button at the bottom right. It is the real product, not a scripted demo: it answers from this site’s published pages, shows you the sources it used, and tells you plainly when the answer isn’t in them. Open it here.

How to reach us

Email support@answerrails.com. A person reads it and a person replies.

We don’t publish a response-time promise, because we would rather not publish one we can’t hold at every hour of every week. What we will do is answer, and if we need something more from you, say exactly what.

What to include

The more of this you can give us, the faster this goes:

  • Your WordPress version and your AnswerRails version — both are on the plugin’s admin screens.
  • Which AI provider you’re using: OpenAI, Mistral or Anthropic Claude.
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Screenshots help more than descriptions.
  • Whatever the plugin’s health screen is reporting. It says in plain language what is answering, what is failing and at which stage — and it is usually the fastest route to a diagnosis, including for us.
Try AnswerRails → Settings → Test APIs first. It exercises every service the assistant depends on and names the stage that failed, which turns “the chat isn’t working” into something specific in about ten seconds.

Accessibility issues

Accessibility problems in AnswerRails are treated as bugs, not feature requests. Report them the same way and they are triaged into the next release cycle. The accessibility statement sets out what the widget provides, how it has been tested and on what, and the limitations we know about and haven’t fixed yet.

Security reports

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please say so in the subject line and include enough detail for us to reproduce it. Please don’t disclose it publicly until we have had a chance to investigate and respond — and do tell us if you intend to, so we can agree a date rather than be surprised by one.

Before you write

Two things answer most questions faster than we can: the documentation, and the assistant on this site, which is grounded in it. If neither has your answer, that is genuinely useful for us to know — tell us what you were looking for and we will write the page.
