Founding customers

The same Pro, at an early-customer price, for people who buy before the product is well known. This page says exactly what that commits us to.

The price

CurrencyFoundingStandard Pro
£ GBP£17 a month · £170 a year£25 · £250
€ EUR€19 a month · €190 a year€29 · €290
$ USD$19 a month · $190 a year$29 · $290

New subscriptions are at the founding price until 31 January 2027. While the window is open it is the only price we sell at — nobody pays the standard price by not noticing this page. When the window closes, new subscriptions are at standard Pro, and this page will say so.

The checkout is provided by Freemius, our payment platform. It opens when you choose a plan — nothing from the payment platform loads before that click — and takes payment in GBP, EUR or USD. Prices exclude tax. Any VAT or sales tax that applies is calculated at checkout from your billing address; VAT-registered businesses can enter a VAT number there and the tax is removed.

What you get

Pro. Not a founding edition of Pro. There is one Pro feature set, and founding customers have all of it: your WooCommerce catalogue and external web pages as knowledge sources, the Business Intelligence screen, idea capture, sales-lead detection, human-handoff escalation by email, and the grounding-depth and moderation-tuning controls. Every capability added to Pro later is added to founding licences in the same release, because there is no separate plan to leave behind. Free vs Pro describes the boundary; it is the same boundary for you.

Support is the same support everyone gets: a person, by email, described at Support.

What we commit to

The founding price holds for as long as your subscription remains active. Renewals are at the price you first paid. That is the commitment in the licence agreement you accept at purchase, and it is the one we will stand behind.

Two things it does not cover, stated plainly. It does not survive a lapse: if the subscription ends and you come back later, you come back at the standard price. And under the licence agreement it may not survive switching to another plan or licence level.

The two questions we said we would test, answered. Switching between monthly and annual billing keeps the founding price. Your price stays in the currency you bought in: the checkout does not offer a currency change on an existing subscription, so pick your currency at purchase.

Why the price is lower

Not generosity, and not a discount on something that will later be worth more. An early customer takes a risk on a product with no track record, and gives us the thing we most need — real conversations on real sites, and the feedback that comes from them. The lower price is the honest exchange for that. When the product has a reputation, the risk is smaller and the price goes to standard.

What we ask of you

Nothing contractual. We will ask, by email and not often, what the assistant got wrong on your site and what you wished it did. You can ignore the email. We will not use your name, your site or your words anywhere public without asking you first.
